The Tokai Maru is a Japanese freighter that sank in Apra Harbor in 1943 and Sequoia’s collateral duty divers chose this dive site as their last dive to honor the beginnings of the Coast Guard dive program: World War II missions with U.S. Navy frogmen and the Office of Strategic Services.
