Lt. Col. Don Tingen, a North Carolina National Guard Soldier assigned to Multinational Battle Group-East, hands out posters to students, describing the dangers and consequences of aiming laser pointers at aircrafts, during a public outreach event held Feb. 23, 2016, in Ferizaj, Kosovo. U.S. Army Blackhawk pilots deployed to Kosovo with the 2-285th Assault Helicopter Battalion, an Army National Guard unit from Phoenix, Arizona, also spoke on the blinding effects laser pointers have on them and the danger it creates for those in the aircraft and on the ground.
