Vice Adm. D.C. Curtis, commander of Naval Surface Forces, held a round table discussion over breakfast aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Port Royal with several surface commanding officers from around Naval Station Pearl Harbor. Capt. Ricks Polk, the commanding officer of Afloat Training Group, Middle Pacific, listened in as Curtis spoke to the officers regarding manning, training and current world events such as the Haiti earthquake relief mission.
