U.S. Army Spc. Roosevelt McCoy, from Birmingham, Ala., photographs a 10.5w outlaw back half vehicle from Kuwait, during a Qatar Drag Racing Championship, near Doha, Qatar, Jan. 22. McCoy was enjoying a four-day respite from Iraq by participating in the U.S. Central Command rest and recuperation pass program at Camp As Sayliyah, Qatar. "This is exciting – exhilarating!" said McCoy, who deployed with the 203rd National Guard Military Police Battalion last summer. "I've been to over 20 races in Alabama but I've never been this close. There's rubber and fumes all over. I feel like I'm part of the pit crew!"
