GREAT LAKES, Ill. (February 27, 2016) – Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Adm. John Richardson looks over a recruit berthing locker in the USS Hopper ship barracks here, Feb. 27. CNO and Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON) Mike Stevens toured RTC facilities, including the Navy’s largest simulator USS Trayer (BST 21), a 210-foot-long replica of an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, recruits use for their final training evolutions, known as Battle Stations, before graduating from the Navy’s only boot camp.
