A Japan Ground Self-Defense Force soldier presents Marines and other JGSDF soldiers with a Karate demonstration during the closing ceremony of Exercise Iron Fist 2016 at Camp Pendleton, March 1, 2016. Exercise Iron Fist is an annual training exercise conducted between the USMC and JGSDF, designed to improve their ability to conduct amphibious operations. Iron Fist also allows for Marines to train with warriors from a different culture, building a sense of comradeship between the USMC and JGSDF. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Devan K. Gowans)
