160229-N-AX638-026 ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 29, 2016) Naval Air Crewman (Helicopter) 2nd Class Tyler Ahart, attached to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28, the “Dragon Whales,” looks out of an MH-60S Sea Hawk as it prepares to land on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). Kearsarge is the flagship for the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and, with the embarked 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), is deployed in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
