160303-N-MY174-005 SOUTH CHINA SEA (March 3, 2016) - Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Sarah Beltran, from Smithfield, Va., takes the Navy-wide advancement exam on one of USS John C. Stennis' (CVN 74) mess decks. The Navy offers eligible candidates two opportunities per year, once in the spring and once in the fall, to test for the next higher pay grade. Providing a ready force supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific, Stennis is operating as part of the Great Green Fleet on a regularly scheduled 7th Fleet deployment.
