The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Nassau receives a landing craft air cushion as it transits near the Haitian coast. Nassau is deployed as part of the Nassau Amphibious Ready Group with the embarked 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit supporting Operation Unified Response, the humanitarian aid and disaster relief mission in Haiti in the aftermath of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake Jan. 12, 2010.
