Bravo Battery, 5th Battalion 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 17th Field Artillery Brigade, soldiers redeploy safely home after their recent deployment to Iraq. They were welcomed by Maj. Gen. Thomas James, 7th Infantry Division Commander, Cmnd. Sgt. Major Love, 7th Infantry Division Command Sergeant Major, and Col. Andrew C. Gainey, 17th Field Artillery Brigade Commander at McChord Airfield. As an air defense artillery unit, the Dragon Slayers specialize in counter-rocket, counter-artillery and counter-mortar operations. Their Welcome Home ceremony took place on Joint Base Lewis McChord, March 5.
