160229-N-VS214-168 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 29, 2016) The flight deck crew of dock landing ship USS Harpers Ferry (LSD 49) performs a foreign object and debris (FOD) walkdown on the fight deck in preparation for flight operations. More than 4,500 Sailors and Marines from Boxer Amphibious Ready Group and the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit (13th MEU) are currently transiting the Pacific Ocean toward the U.S. 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operations during a scheduled deployment.
