Wyszynski, hospital corpsman, Headquarters and Support Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, receives a helping hand from eager locals to carrying a medical supply case to a local hospital in La Gonave, Haiti, Jan. 25. Combat Logistics Battalion 24 and BLT 1/9 delivered meals ready-to-eat, supplies, and offered medical treatment after a long absence of military presence in La Gonave Island after the devastating earthquake in Haiti that occurred, Jan. 12. 24th MEU, in conjunction with Nassau Amphibious Ready Group, remains to be among the most flexible and expedient units to support a variety of humanitarian assistance at a moment's notice.
