Combat Logistics Battalion 24 and BLT 1/9 delivered meals ready-to-eat, supplies, and offered medical treatment after a long absence of military presence in La Gonave Island after the devastating earthquake in Haiti that occurred, Jan. 12. 24th MEU, in conjunction with Nassau Amphibious Ready Group, remains to be among the most flexible and expedient units to support a variety of humanitarian assistance at a moment's notice.
