Command Sgt. Maj. David Lien, outgoing senior enlisted leader for 68th Troop Command, right, passes a noncommissioned officer's sword to Command Sgt. Maj. Alan Grinsteinner, the incoming senior enlisted leader, during a change of responsibility ceremony Feb. 21 at the Raymond J. Bohn Armory in Bismarck, N.D.. The passing of the sword signifies the relinquishing of responsibility and authority from the outgoing to the incoming command sergeant major. Army tradition indicates that "senior sergeants may come and go, but the sword remains razor sharp." (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Capt. Kristi Blair, 116th Public Affairs Detachment/Released)
