Airborne artillerymen assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division Artillery fire their M777A2 medium howitzer in an emergency fire mission, also known as a hip shoot, during a Division Artillery Readiness Test on Fort Bragg N.C., March 2, 2016. The DART tests the battery in support of Global Response Battalion 1 on the their ability to conduct standard and nonstandard fire missions such as the out of traverse, and emergency fire missions both day at night under stressful situations to ensure they can support any mission for GRB-1 within 18 hours of notification.
