160310-N-VR008-022 SAN DIEGO (March 10, 2016) – Capt. Michael W. Baze, commanding officer of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Ensign Brittany Baker, ships store division officer, and Veronica Naughton, ships store program merchandising specialist, officially re-open the ship’s store during a ribbon cutting ceremony at the store’s entrance. America is currently undergoing a post-shakedown availability (PSA) in which the ship’s crew and assigned contractors make improvements to the ship’s design.
