Boatswain's Mate Seaman Vridiana Miranda, a Sailor aboard the Whidbey Island-class dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43) directs a Dutch NH90 helicopter to land on the ship's flight deck. Fort McHenry is currently participating in Exercise Cold Response 2016, which is a biennial Norwegian invitational that tests militaries’ ability to operate in extreme cold weather conditions.
