Colonel Koji Yamaguchi, a member of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, visited and observed Marines from the 12th Marine Regiment operating the Deployed Virtual Training Environment systems March 16, at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan. The program has a variety of uses, including giving accurate information on fictional enemies, language training capabilities and virtual training. The Marines demonstrated training for Yamaguchi and allowed him to tour their facilities. Yamaguchi is the commanding officer for the Western Army artillery stationed at Camp Yufuin.
