One hundred and ninety-five candidates from U.S. forces in Europe, including 24 participants from seven NATO allies, are competing in the five-day challenge, at Baumholder, Germany, March 11-24, 2016. The test is a rigorous evaluation of mental and physical skills and earning the badge requires a high degree of ability and focus. Passing rates range from 5-25 percent, making the EFMB a distinctive mark in a Soldier's records.
