Soldiers conduct familiarization and training on an Interrogation Arm enabler system as part of the collective training for an operational test of the Medium Mine Protected Vehicle Type II. U.S. Army Operational Test Command coordinates new equipment training (NET) events to provide a training baseline and system understanding prior to conducting operational tests. This NET is then provided to and supports units that will receive these systems, once approved and fielded. OTC provides unique training opportunities for tactical units on new and developing military equipment like the MMPV. Testing by OTC is combined with training conducted by actual units, who incorporate system missions into the unit’s training needs in order to obtain testing and training effects. The MMPV Type II platform provides a blast-protected platform to protect Soldiers conducting explosive hazard missions to assure the mobility of the force at the tactical through strategic level.
