Sailors assigned to the Bataan Amphibious Relief Mission are providing medical care to the people of Haiti in support of Operation Unified Response. The multi-purpose amphibious assault landing ship USS Bataan and amphibious dock landing ships USS Carter Hall, USS Fort McHenry and USS Gunston Hall are on station in Haiti as the Bataan Amphibious Relief Mission in support of Operation Unified Response, a joint operation providing military support capabilities to civil authorities to help stabilize and improve the situation in Haiti following a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated the island nation.
