Role players filter into the mass casualty collection point, during an emergency management drill at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune, April 5. The corpsmen utilize the litter carry technique. The purpose of the drill, which involved members of the hospital leadership team, emergency department staff, as well as, more than 100 role players, tested the response and training of staff members throughout the hospital, explained Mark Starnes, the hospital’s emergency management specialist. Hospitals are required to perform several emergency response drills for different scenarios every year. (U.S. Navy photo by Hospital Corpsman First Class Tyrone Kimbrough)
