A U.S. Marine Corps AH-1W Super Cobra assigned to Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1) fires flares during an evolution at Mt. Barrow, Chocolate Mountain Aerial Gunnery Range, Calif., April 7, 2016. The evolution was part of Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) course 2-16, a seven week training event hosted MAWTS-1 cadre. MAWTS-1 provides standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine Aviation Training and Readiness and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
