Brigadier Gen. David W. Coffman, deputy commanding general, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force, addresses Marines and sailors about the expected operational and training tempos for the upcoming training and certification exercises during the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s composite ceremony at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, April 8, 2016. Coffman elaborated on the expeditionary and amphibious capabilities of the Marines and sailors of the 11th MEU, which is slated for the Western Pacific 16-2 deployment later this year.
