Drill instructors from Hotel Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, march in formation after receiving the guidons from the company honormen during the graduation ceremony at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 8. Following graduation, Marines are given 10 days of leave before taking the next step in training at the School of Infantry at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego.
