    U.S. Coast Guard District 5

    1. What is your name and what do you do in the Coast Guard?
"My name is Gay Lord Amores, I'm a Seaman and qualified boat crew member."

    2. Describe diversity in a word or two and explain what it means to you.
"I chose the words races and culture to describe diversity because I see myself as a perfect example. I came from a different culture and ethnicity than my fellow shipmates."

    3. How has your experience and background prepared you to be effective at
    your job?
"I believe that my experience and background is a great and perfect fit for my job because I was a Merchant Marine Officer, sailing for 9 years and conning a 1,200 foot oceangoing vessel trading worldwide."

    4. Tell me a little bit about your life outside of work.
"My life on my days off I just hang around, watch movies, enjoy food, trips and visiting family."
