Project Hope volunteer Stephen Hickey, from Meredith, N.H., and Ensign Tom Diggs, an intensive care unit nurse from Watertown, S.D., prepare a Haitian earthquake victim for a CT scan aboard the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Comfort. The patient suffered spinal injuries in the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti Jan. 12. The Comfort surgical team has performed more than 800 surgeries since Jan. 19.
