POLARIS POINT, Guam (April 5, 2016) Damage Controlman 1st Class Nathan Laygo, a native of Mongmong, Guam, assigned to the Emory S. Land-class submarine tender USS Frank Cable (AS 40), demonstrates proper pipe patching techniques to Sailors and civilian mariners on the ship's boat deck during a fast cruise, April 5. The fast cruise trains Sailors in damage control, personnel accountability and various emergency situations preparing them for underway at-sea operations. Frank Cable, forward deployed to the island of Guam, conducts maintenance and support of submarines and surface vessels deployed to the U.S. 7th Fleet area of responsibility.
