A Marine with 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment applies a tourniquet to a notional casualty during an attack evolution aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 20, 2016. To add an extra element to the training, a Marine acted as a casualty during a patrol. Marines were then tasked to apply the proper steps and extract the casualty to the designated landing zone.
