Members of the Mauritian National Coast Guard Police Force stand in formation during an Africa Partnership Station East graduation ceremony held aboard High Speed Vessel Swift. Ninety-two graduates completed training in APS course offerings such as visit, board, search and seizure procedures; firefighting and damage control, search and rescue exercises, and force protection measures. APS East is an international cooperative initiative aimed at strengthening global maritime partnerships through training and other collaborative activities in order to improve maritime safety and security in Africa, and is being conducted in cooperation with U.S. Naval Forces Africa and U.S. Africa Command.
