Soldiers from five North Atlantic Treaty Organization nations participating in Summer Shield XIII lower their country’s flag during the exercise’s closing ceremony of, April 29, at Adazi Military Base, Latvia. Soldiers from Latvia, Canada, Germany, Lithuania and the U.S. have been conducting a variety of training together during Summer Shield XIII, an annual two-week long interoperability training event in Latvia.
