160415-N-XN177-114 YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 15, 2016) – Military working dog (MWD) Capa receives a large bone from Lt. Christopher Guaydacan, Assistant Security Officer, Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka during his retirement ceremony. The canines with the MWD unit are used to apprehend suspects and to detect explosives and narcotics while searching buildings, ships and submarines. FLEACT Yokosuka provides, maintains, and operates base facilities and services in support of 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, 83 tenant commands, and 24,000 military and civilian personnel.
