EVERETT, Wash. (April 15, 2016) Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92) say goodbye to family and loved ones moments before boarding the ship for deployment. Momsen departed Naval Station Everett, Wash. today for a deployment to the Western Pacific as part of Commander, U.S. Third Fleet Pacific Surface Action Group (PAC SAG). Momsen, along with guided-missile destroyers USS Spruance (DDG 111) and USS Decatur (DDG 73) and embarked "Devil Fish" and "Warbirds" detachments of Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49, will deploy as part of PAC SAG under Destroyer Squadron 31 (CDS-31).
