To the loser went a copy of Menu magazine, in the hopes he can sharpen his culinary skills. Mobilization Readiness Battalion commander, Lt. Col. David Polaneczky from Riverton, N.J., right, recognized a funny moment when he saw it, even if it was at his expense. Maj. Mark Thompson, the commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, MRB, presented the magazine to the loser of the chili cook-off held March 3. Thompson, a resident of Cape Girardeau, Mo., took great pleasure in ribbing his boss over his placing in the contest.
