James Westover (left), first sergeant of Troop B and Sgt. 1st Class Jonathan Meyer, mortar section sergeant, both of 1st Squadron, 61st Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, look over a map before a mission June 23. Meyer was new to the unit and familiarizing himself with the area of operations May 19 when his vehicle was struck by an improvised-explosive device causing it to rollover.
