Gen. Robert B. Abrams, Commander, U.S. Army Forces Command, meets with the adjutants’ generals and their representatives from Federal Emergency Management Agency Regions 1 and 2, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and the Virgin Islands, at the New Jersey National Guard's Joint Training and Training Development Center, at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., May 5, 2016. The meeting is a part of a series of engagements between the FORSCOM commander and adjutants general that provide a forum for information-sharing and dialogue, with the goal of overcoming challenges faced by the TAGs. The meeting presented the opportunity for the adjutants’ generals to discuss Army-directed readiness requirements during both pre-and post-mobilization through multicomponent integrated collective training, enabling FORSCOM to provide combatant commanders trained and ready forces in support of worldwide requirements.
