A rigid inflatable boat (RIB) with orange and black markings, consistent with a Coast Guard or rescue vessel, is approaching a capsized or swamped small boat in open ocean waters. The smaller vessel appears to be partially submerged and overturned, with only its hull, outboard motor, and some debris visible above the waterline. Two personnel are visible aboard the rescue craft, apparently conducting a maritime rescue or recovery operation.

PACIFIC OCEAN - A small boat crew from U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast investigates the remains of the panga Wendy II after it capsized and sank 40 nautical miles off the coast of Huatulco, Mexico. All three crewmembers were safely rescued by Steadfast and returned to their homeport by the Mexican navy. U.S. Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer 2nd Class Jeremy K. Jenks.
