Spc. Cesar Judiz and Spc. Cynthia Varela of the California National Guard's 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team help move the belongings of the Britto Family on April 1. After Sgt. Gilbert Britto deployed to the Middle East with the 640th Aviation Support Battalion in October, neighborhood criminals began harassing his family, prompting an emergency move when the family dog died of an apparent poisoning. The Cal Guard Family Assistance Program helped coordinate 12 military volunteers who were eager to support the family. Photo by Staff Sgt. Donovan Greer
