Staff Sgt. Alex Quinones, the platoon commander of Black Platoon, 1st Marines, 8th Marine Regiment, accepts a token of appreciation on behalf of his platoon from the commanding officer of 8th Company, 8th Battalion, 3rd Regiment Spanish Legion Brigade, after completing a week-long training exercise in Almeria, Spain, May 4, 2016. By conducting these types of combined exercises, both militaries are able to learn from each other and improve their ability to work together.
