LtCol. Patricia Klop, a former Det CDR with 3D Civil Affairs Group, Force Headquarters Group (FHG), was a military panelist for the Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care “Salute in Story: We Honor Veterans” military outreach event, held on April 19, 2016.
The military outreach event launched a
strategic initiative program called “We Honor Vets,” a collaboration between the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization with the Department of
Veterans Affairs. Other panelists and speakers included James H. Mukoyama, Jr., US Army, Major General (Retired), an infantry company commander in Vietnam and mobilized for Desert Storm in 1991; and Wood Hughes, a World War II Marine present for the iconic raising of the flag on Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima.
