Davies, chief of staff for the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command and Maj. Joe Corbett, USMC, commander, Company B, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion cut the ribbon that symbolizes that the Fort Detrick Armed Forces Reserve Center is open for business. The $14-million, 58,600-square-foot Armed Forces Reserve Center and its accompanying Organizational Maintenance Facility located on Fort Detrick's Area B will be the home to the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion; Alpha Company, Detachment 1, 392nd Signal Battalion; 21st and 27th Military History Detachments.
