A plaque dedicated to Petty Officer 2nd Class Charles "Luke" Milam, special amphibious reconnaissance corpsman, is on display during a dedication ceremony on March 12, at the U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command headquarters building. The plaque was unveiled by Milam's parents during a dedication ceremony, celebrating the construction of the Charles Luke Milam Clinic. The plaque will be displayed at the entrance of the clinic. Milam was killed in action in the Helmand province, Afghanistan, on Sept. 25, 2007, during a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with 2nd Marine Special Operations Battalion.
