Alfred May places a wreath by the Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) memorial to honor his fallen brothers-in-arms during his time in Vietnam on May 13, 2016. May, who attended the 1st Bn. 506th Inf Regt. Distinguished and Honorary Member of the Regiment induction ceremony, was one of the original members that helped to create the first memorial in Camp Evans, Vietnam in 1971 and the recreated memorial that stands in Fort Campbell today.
