OCEANSIDE, Calif. – Lance Cpl. Sharon Santos, right, helps Juan, age 9, try on a protective plate carrier during the annual Beach Fun Day May 20, 2016. During the event, Marines gave special needs children an inside look at some of the equipment they use in the military. More than 100 handicapped children participated in the event hosted by the Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis, which included static displays, food, entertainment, and specialized sports activities at the Harbor Beach.
