The U.S. Bureau of Medicine and Surgery recognized military medical logistician and comptroller professionals during its Navy Medicine Business Operations Training Symposium, in Falls Church, Virginia, 3 May. Twenty-two professionals were acknowledged for their contributions to Navy Medicine. Cmdr. Christopher Barnes, Naval Medical Logistics Command Senior Shore-Based Medical Logistician of the Year; Lt. Shellita Green, U.S. Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan, Junior Medical Logistician of the Year; Lt. Temitope O. Ayeni, NATO Role 3 Multinational Medical Unit Kandahar, Afghanistan, Operational Medical Logistician of the Year; and Capt. Mary Seymour, Commanding Officer, Naval Medical Logistics Command, Fort Detrick, Maryland. Capt. Seymour served as one of the event's keynote speakers.
