Matt Takara, commander 51st Medical Detachment Veterinary Medicine, 248th Medical Detachment Veterinary Services, observes the procedure. Takara was part of a U.S. forces team organized by 1st Armored Division, U.S. Division-Center, continuing a relationship started early in the Iraq campaign.
