A UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter sits prepared for emergency response to a Coalition medevac request at Erbil, Iraq, May 5, 2016. Medevac aircraft are operated by aviators with Company F, 2nd 238th aviation Regiment, Task Force Dragon, 40th Combat Aviation Brigade. Every Medevac aircraft has at least one paramedic or higher echelon critical care medical staff, the “golden hour” is the benchmark in which these crews must respond and return.
