Sgt. Tim R. Lee and Sgt. David O. Tye, both scout snipers from Scout Sniper platoon, Headquarters and Support Company, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, work together to advance through a stress shoot relay during a three-day platoon competition in Djibouti March 25. The contest challenged scout snipers in communication, marksmanship and team work throughout various competitive relays. The 24th MEU Marines performed a series of sustainment and joint exercises throughout their visit in Djibouti. The 24th MEU is currently on a seven month deployment aboard Nassau Amphibious Ready Group vessels as the theatre reserve force for Central Command.
