Capt. Early Howard, commander of the 218th Military Police Company, led his unit through a year-long Operation Iraqi Freedom mission in Kirkuk, Iraq. The 218th, based out of Fort Campbell, Ky., ended its operation during a March 28 transfer of Authority. The unit was replaced by the 512th MP Company. Both fall under the 49th Military Police Brigade.
