During the Track and Field events of the 2106 DoD Warrior Games, Marine Cpl. Jessica Hammack was called to the 40-yard line on June 16. In a surprise move, Petty Officer 1st Class Andrew Johnson proposed to her gaining a positive response. The Games, running from June 15-21, are a Paralympic-type event for wounded, ill and injured personnel from the military representing all four U.S. Services, Special Operations Command and the United Kingdom. Both Johnson and Hammack are competitors.
