A change of command ceremony was held at Coast Guard Base Los Angeles-Long Beach on June 16, 2016, for the officer in charge of Coast Guard Cutter George Cobb. Lt. Stephen W. Brickey transferred command to Lt. Cody B. Dunagan during the change of command ceremony. The change of command ceremony is a time-honored tradition, deeply rooted in Coast Guard and Naval history.
